What do you focus on during a typical
Pilates mat class with Ruth ?
Each class begins with a warm up. During the main body of
the class we discuss correct alignment and breathing.
Most of the exercises focus on strengthening the major
muscle groups that can improve posture : Abdominals,
buttocks and back muscles (Core muscles) We also balance
these stengthening exercises with some stretches. The
exercises vary from week to week.

I have been attending Pilates with Ruth for 2 years.
The difference it has made to my body shape and posture has been

I have been doing Pilates with Ruth HOGG

PILATES :
An extremely effective way of strengthening the Pelvic floor.
The pelvic floor is a layer of muscle that stretches from your pubic bone in the front to your tailbone at the back, forming the ‘floor’ of the pelvis. What does it do? A toned pelvic floor : *Supports the pelvic organs (bladder uterus and bowel). *Helps close off the bladder and bowel outlets to prevent leakage. *Contributes to sexual response and orgasm.
